BEECH MOUNTAIN Climb - Throwback 1993 Tour du Pont Stage 9 ( Lance Armstrong vs Raul Alcala )

**WARNING: while the Beech climb is the Ultimate challenge in the area, the return descent is blazing fast and traffic make it extremely difficult. If you do attempt study the weather, profile, and turns carefully beforehand. Note in particular the "snow chains here" turn going up; you'll know it as you go into the leg breaker 14% with extra lane right after. The return will rocket you into that blind left-hander turn. Similarly, continuing down 194 to Valle Crucis is very technical**
